Writing Butterflies

Ever since starting this blog, I’ve received SO many nice compliments, love and encouragement. I’ve even had a few ask me how to get one of their own set up. And I love it! But what I love even more is when people have asked me why I even started writing in the first place. My answer is simple- the butterflies.

We’ve all gotten them before. Whether it be before a big game, a concert, your wedding- especially your wedding! But in the past years, after those things are done and gone, I realized I didn’t really have “butterflies” for anything anymore. I wasn’t doing anything exciting. I wasn’t really doing the thing that I loved or enjoyed. I was living a simple, butterflyless life.

Then one day, after being SO beaten down with the feeling that I wasn’t doing anything with this life, I cried out to God to give me a passion for something again. To make me feel like I’m doing something not only for myself, but for others as well. And He did.

Every time I get this idea or passion to write, I know it’s from God. He places these butterflies in my heart, fluttering so fast through my veins and into my finger tips that the only thing I know to do is to write them down. To share them with those who may need it.

These butterflies have made me feel so alive again. They make me look at things in a whole new perspective. They make me feel like I have a purpose, and that is to spread the grace joy and love that God placed in me when he placed those butterflies.

What is it that gives you butterflies?

If you know it, GREAT!! Do something with it, you never know who may need some inspiration. ✨

If you don’t know it, or if you’ve lost it, find it. Do something out of your comfort zone. Ask God to place something in you that you can’t let go of.

And let those butterflies fly.
